Initially founded in 2018 as HT Firewood, Patriot Forest Solutions has developed into one of Central New York's (CNY) most reputable suppliers of firewood, logging, and land-clearing services. Harrison Turk founded the business as a modest firewood supplier, but it has grown to provide other services, such as compost sales, dirt, and excavation work. In 2024, the company changed its name to Patriot Forest Solutions to represent its wider variety of services more accurately. Patriot Forest Solutions is dedicated to providing expert, economical, and environmentally responsible forest management solutions today.
Introducing Harrison Turk: A Skill and Dedication Legacy
Harrison Turk is a highly experienced individual in forestry and land management. Harrison has a solid educational background, having graduated from Paul Smith's College with an associate degree in arboriculture and landscape management. During his early career, he worked for his father's company, Rick Turk Tree Service, where he gained experience in climbing, operating equipment, and doing tree care tasks, including trimming and removal. He earned excellent practical knowledge in tree health and management from his employment there.
Harrison's career path continued at Bartlett Tree Experts, where he gained further expertise in specialist pruning and plant health care. Later, he worked as a heavy equipment operator for Mohawk Valley Materials, doing right-of-way maintenance for the Army Corps of Engineers and large-scale land-clearing operations. Harrison's vast experience and time spent serving in the United States Navy as a Marine Machinery Mechanic helped mold him into a versatile expert with a firm grasp of diligence, precision, and equipment handling.
After returning from Navy deployment in 2021, Harrison resumed working with Rick Turk Tree Service before transitioning to running his business full-time. Patriot Forest Solutions is the culmination of years of experience and dedication to quality work.

For firewood, we go above and beyond to guarantee quality. We ensure that our clients receive clean, usable firewood by using a disc cleaner to remove debris. We also sell compost, topsoil, and excellent raised bed garden mix, which are premium resources for gardening, landscaping, and other applications.
